This is a Microsoft Windows ODBC driver for SAP.  It allows you to read SAP data from Windows applications like Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.  The driver is in development.

The driver connects to SAP using the SAP RFC library LIBRFC32.DLL.  The driver primarily uses the RFC function RFC_READ_TABLE to read data.  The driver will use function RFC_READ_TEXT to read long descriptions.  A user connects to SAP with his usual username and password.

The driver does not do an end-run around SAP security or usual means of connectivity.
